Zolochiv Hospital in Kharkiv Oblast has received a shipment of medical equipment and supplies

As part of the medical component of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya donated a shipment of medicines to the Zolochiv Hospital of the Zolochiv Village Council.

The medical facility operates in an active combat zone, so the community is constantly under fire, the medical infrastructure is being destroyed, and access to medical care—particularly for vulnerable groups—remains extremely limited. Despite this, civilians continue to live in the surrounding settlements: families with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

The Zolochiv Hospital is a multi-specialty hospital that provides specialized, high-quality outpatient and inpatient medical care to the residents of the Zolochiv community. The healthcare facility comprises four departments, a clinical laboratory, and a consultative outpatient clinic. In 2025, the hospital treated over 1,100 patients, and nearly 60,000 patients received outpatient care at the clinic.

This medical facility, like others in the region, is operating under increased workload. In addition, due to damage to the energy infrastructure and logistical challenges, the hospital is in urgent need of medicines and medical equipment. This explains the list of medicines, supplies, and equipment (electrocardiographs) that the Committee purchased and donated to support the hospital.

The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
