As part of the medical component of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya donated a shipment of medicines to the Chernihiv Regional Psychoneurological Hospital of the Chernihiv Regional Council.

The healthcare facility sustained damage during the russian military aggression, but continues to provide outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care to the civilian population. The hospital has a capacity of 420 inpatient beds, and the number of patients who received qualified care in 2025 reached nearly 6,500.

The medical institution reached out to the Committee for assistance in securing medications, which are in short supply due to the hospital’s excessive workload and partial underfunding. In response to the request, a shipment containing nearly 30 different types of medication was sent to Chernihiv. 

The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
