Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" continues to implement the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", under which 170 families from Mariupol, who are currently living in Zakarpattia due to russian military aggression and the temporary occupation of Mariupol, have received assistance.
Charitable Organization "Charitable Foundation "I Am Mariupol" appealed to the Committee with a request to support Mariupol residents. Its Uzhhorod branch has registered 1,500 Mariupol residents, including nearly two hundred from vulnerable groups.
"Due to the full-scale war, thousands of Mariupol families were forced to leave their homes and were unable to take even the most necessary items with them. Now, living in safer regions, people are trying to integrate into the life of their new communities, find work, and actively participate in volunteer activities. Among the displaced persons are vulnerable groups: large families, children with disabilities, children in care whose parents died in the city, children of military personnel, elderly people...," says the request from the CO "CF "I’m Mariupol", whose team provided organizational support for the humanitarian mission.
So, during November, 170 families from Mariupol belonging to vulnerable groups received hygiene kits. The distribution was organized in Uzhhorod and Mukachevo.
As a reminder, prior to this, almost 200 families from the target group received food kits in Zaporizhzhia.
