One of the main goals of the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya during the war was and still is to help emergency service workers, especially rescuers, because they're some of the first people to show up at places under attack and deal with the aftermath of shelling.

Partners from the Association SAFE (France), in cooperation with France Aide Urgence Secours International. FAUSI and MSA: The Safety Company - Keeping ME Alive Since 1914, donated a large batch of rescue equipment to the Committee, including oxygen cylinders, masks, cylinder backpacks, belts, and additional hoses, which the humanitarian warehouse team promptly sent, in accordance with existing requests, to emergency services specialists in the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Kirovohrad regions. The equipment received is already being used by the State Emergency Service, relevant territorial defense structures, municipal rescue teams, etc.

"Under such intense shelling, some of the equipment becomes consumables. That's the reality. Therefore, requests for various rescue equipment are constantly coming in, and we respond to these requests to the best of our ability. The equipment received from our French partners was in high demand in many regions, and we managed to quickly organize logistics there", notes Vyacheslav Polyakov, coordinator of CAMZ humanitarian warehouse.

The priority of helping rescuers was once implemented in the project "Emergency Aid to Zaporizhzhia Oblast", within the framework of which employees of the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhzhia region received the equipment necessary to perform their duties. And last year, with the support of SAFE, the Committee fulfilled a request for a compact, high-clearance fire truck to extinguish fires in difficult areas – in forest belts, dense buildings, forests, places with difficult access to water, etc.
