As part of the medical component of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" has donated specialized medical cargo to the Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital of the Sumy Regional Council.
This is a range of medicines and medical consumables that the biggest children’s hospital in Sumy region got based on a request. The medical institution serves about 150,000 kids in the area and provides emergency (urgent) medical care to children. The hospital has 370 inpatient beds, including 120 surgical beds, 231 therapeutic beds, and 19 resuscitation and intensive care beds. More than 15,000 sick children receive inpatient care every year.
This is not the first humanitarian aid for hospitals in the Sumy region. A month ago, the Committee donated a patient monitor with a capnography module and a non-contact transilluminator for venous puncture to the Hlukhiv City Hospital.
As a reminder, as part of a project which is being implemented by the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office, special medical equipment for diagnosing infants was recently donated to a hospital in Uzhhorod.
