During the week, French partners from the Association SAFE handed over three vehicles to the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya, which will strengthen Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
These are two off-road vehicles and one ambulance. The latter is equipped with all necessary equipment, and when the vehicle is donated to military medics, our humanitarian warehouse staff will prepare additional cargo with bandages, consumables, and medicines. The remaining off-road vehicles will be useful to military personnel, in particular one of the anti-aircraft and machine gun battalions.
Cars are in high demand on the front lines. They save civilians and military personnel, deliver cargo, transport special equipment, accompany rescue missions… Unfortunately, vehicles are expendable in war, and their "lifespan" sometimes lasts only one day. But even in that one day, a car can save lives and help people. The tremendous work of Jacques Duplessy from the Association SAFE consists of raising funds for cars for Ukraine, finding these cars, delivering them, etc. Already in Uzhhorod, CAMZ team is preparing cars for further service: providing technical inspections, refueling, equipping them with additional equipment, etc.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale russian-Ukrainian war, the Committee, together with its partners, has donated more than 80 different vehicles to medical personnel, rescuers, and the military.
As a reminder, partners from France have already organized several large humanitarian shipments of anti-drone nets, which the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya has donated to all frontline areas. This work is still ongoing.
