The new year within the framework of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" started with a new shift of the 5-day children’s camp, which is run by the team of the NGO "Happy Children".
Once again, the youngest participants of the project plunged into the world of adventure, fun, travel, and educational leisure. Experienced organizers did their best to make every day of the camp useful and meaningful. The children participated in workshops, had fun with animators, visited the entertainment complex, experimented in the "bubble kitchen", watched cartoons...
As a memento of their New Year’s adventure, each participant took with them an eco-bag, a Christmas star, colored sand picture frames, and other festive décor – all made by themselves. At the theater therapy class, the children learned what it means to be actors, and at sessions with psychologist Olha Pryntsovska, they learned to recognize their own emotions, listen to each other and support each other, and thus become a team.
The camp’s festive shift was not without gifts – a secret Santa brought them to each and every one of them, and during various classes there were symbolic presents.
Now the team of NGO "Happy Children" is already working on filling the next camp session with cool leisure activities. In total, during 2024, the project partners reached almost 1500 people with various activities.
The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
