The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", which is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office, is ongoing.

An important component of this project is to help Ukrainian healthcare institutions, especially those that provide medical services to young patients. This time, a batch of medicines was sent to the Chernihiv Regional Children’s Hospital of the Chernihiv Regional Council, in accordance with the request received. The hospital operates under martial law and provides outpatient and inpatient care to children in Chernihiv and the region. Every month, about 5,000 children receive medical care at the hospital, including more than 800 who undergo inpatient treatment.

According to the medical institution, there is currently a critical situation with the supply of insulin and other medicines to inpatients. The humanitarian mission of our project partially helped to solve this problem.

Later, we received the following feedback from Tetiana Lebedieva, the chief physician of the Chernihiv Regional Children’s Hospital: "We received your help, which we really need at this time! It’s like an adrenaline injection for a shocked patient – if it’s not there, then nothing else really matters. Thank you very much!".
