As part of the medical component of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya sent humanitarian aid to the evacuated Vovchansk Central District Hospital.
Despite the difficult situation in the Vovchansk community caused by russian military aggression, the local hospital continues to provide medical care to its clients. The city of Vovchansk, where the medical facility was located, has been almost completely destroyed by russian artillery and rocket attacks. As a result, the hospital was relocated to Chuhuiv, Kharkiv Oblast. There, doctors provide emergency medical care, inpatient treatment, laboratory tests, instrumental examinations, and outpatient care...
The administration of the Vovchansk Central District Hospital asked the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya for help in connection with the deteriorating weather conditions, cold snap, and thus an increase in the number of colds and pneumonia. To support the institution, we donated a batch of medicines for seasonal diseases.
The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
