In November, as part of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", food and hygiene kits were distributed to 865 families with children from vulnerable groups.
These are evacuated residents from frontline settlements in Kharkiv Oblast and internally displaced persons who have found temporary shelter in Oleksandriya, Kirovohrad Oblast. Once again, volunteer Kira Lisman, a partner of the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya, handled the direct mission of delivering the aid.
Kharkiv Oblast is a hotspot on the map of military operations, and the enemy is constantly attacking the region with all types of weapons. The Committee systematically supports the local population, which migrates in search of safe places both in the region and across the country. We believe that common concern is a reliable shoulder of support for people in trouble because of russian military aggression.
The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
