Our project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is ongoing, with one of its areas of focus being support for war-affected civilians, large families and other vulnerable groups.

In October and early November, 180 IDP families with children living in Odesa Oblast received food kits. The direct organization of the humanitarian aid was facilitated by our partners from the NGO "Dream of Free People", an organization that has been actively implementing humanitarian initiatives in Odesa region and has been cooperating with the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya since the beginning of the full-scale russian-Ukrainian war.

Since June 2023, the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya has provided food to nearly 5,000 families in Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, Zakarpattia and Odesa oblasts under a project supported by "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office. The work continues.
