As part of the implementation of the medical component of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya donated medicines and supplies to the Nikopol Children’s City Hospital of the Nikopol City Council.

We continue our systematic support of domestic medical institutions in different regions of Ukraine. This time, in accordance with the request, we donated medical supplies to Nikopol Children’s City Hospital. Medicines, X-ray film, shoe covers, bandages and consumables were purchased to meet the needs of doctors and their young patients.

Municipal Enterprise "Nikopol Children’s City Hospital" provides medical care to children, adolescents, internally displaced persons, and the elderly and is located in the city of Nikopol, which is currently the site of active hostilities. About 7,000 children remain in the city, and 150-200 people visit the medical institution daily. Among other things, doctors have recorded an increase in the number of visits to the X-ray room over the year, which, in part, is due to the list of requested assistance.

Thanks to the assistance made possible by the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office, the hospital in Nikopol has improved its ability to provide quality medical care to children and adults.
