The first phase of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is coming to an end, with an important component of which is to help Ukrainian medical institutions treating young patients.

This time, the medical aid was received by the Nikopol Children’s City Hospital in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya delivered vital medicines, dressings and fixation materials, and bactericidal irradiators to the warehouse, which ensure cleanliness and sterility in wards and medical offices, protect children from infections and create a safe environment for recovery. A laboratory centrifuge was in great demand at the hospital, as it will significantly improve the efficiency of diagnostic processes, allow for quick and accurate diagnoses and prescribe the right treatment.

It is not the first time the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya has supported Nikopol doctors and their patients. Now this support is realized in partnership with "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and with funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
