The project "Emergency Aid to Zaporizhzhia Oblast" has been completed, under which employees of the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhzhia Oblast received the equipment they need to perform their duties. The humanitarian cargo from the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya, purchased with the financial support of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and in partnership with the Association SAFE, included emergency rescue equipment and components.

"The equipment is designed to carry out rescue operations during rubble, search for people and dismantle structures. All the equipment is powered by batteries that need to be recharged after work, so the benefactors donated two diesel generators to ensure efficiency. This help will save lives in the region in case of emergencies. This equipment was purchased within the framework of a joint project of the CAMZ and Association SAFE (France) with the financial support of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs", said Denys Levin, project coordinator of the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya, during the transfer of the equipment.

The received humanitarian aid will enable the SES specialists to effectively and safely perform their tasks of saving lives in the course of emergency response and the aftermath of russian military aggression, as well as provide personal protection for the service’s employees. They are the first to be at the epicenter of natural and man-made disasters and in the places of military attacks by russian terrorists, where they rescue civilians, provide the first assessment of the consequences of emergencies, and restore damaged infrastructure together with other specialists. The initiative of the people of France is a significant contribution to improving the humanitarian and security situation in Ukraine.
