More than a dozen medical institutions in Zaporizhzhia Oblast received assistance from the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya as part of a partnership project with the Association SAFE with the financial support of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

These are hospitals in Zaporizhzhia, Orikhov, Shyroke, Komyshuvakha, Stepnohirsk, local primary healthcare centers, emergency medical care and disaster medicine centers, and outpatient clinics that serve several hundred thousand clients in wartime. Large batches of medicines, consumables, and equipment, including operating lights, a video bronchoscope, an ultrasound diagnostic system, a UV chamber for storing sterile instruments, and more, were purchased and promptly delivered to meet their needs.

The medical facilities supported within the "Emergency Aid to Zaporizhzhia Oblast" project are located in the areas in close proximity to the hostilities and continue to provide services to the affected civilian population in extreme conditions. Often, a hospital or outpatient clinic is almost the only place where residents of frontline settlements can get access to medicines, sanitation and other basic needs. Therefore, the support for doctors and their patients provided by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs is extremely important for Ukrainians living under the daily threat of enemy attacks.
