The warm beginning of March inspired the volunteers of the temporary accommodation facility for internally displaced persons "PrykhystOK" to organize a trip for residents to the spring forest in the village of Velyki Lazy, Uzhhorod district.

Five adults and 10 children who came to Uzhhorod from Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Odesa regions because of the war traveled through the Carpathian foothills, talked, and then had fun and enjoyed local cuisine at a local recreational facility.

Such activities are important primarily for children, who enrich their worldview, gain and at the same time efficiently use energy, communicate with their peers, and get acquainted with a new environment.

There are many activities ahead for children and adults, which are part of the ongoing project "Mother and Child Home for IDPs in Uzhhorod", which the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya is implementing together with "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V.".
