A delegation of the Association "Network Switzerland – Transcarpathia / Ukraine" (NeSTU) spent several days in Zakarpattia on a familiarization visit. Ursula Stamm, President of the NeSTU Association, and Michael Roffler, a member of the NeSTU Association Presidium, visited the institutions and facilities under the care of the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya.

The guests from Switzerland talked to the members of the Committee, the staff of the "PrykhystOK" shelter in Uzhhorod, and the warehouse volunteers. Together with the visitors, we discussed the current situation in the country, prospects for further cooperation, visited the Vilshany Children’s Orphanage, got acquainted with the work of the new workshops and the ongoing renovation of the new premises of the orphanage.

Together with Lesya Levko, the project coordinator of CAMZ, the Swiss specialists visited the facilities in Tyachiv – the Social Habilitation and Rehabilitation Centre "Parasolka" and a shelter where fifty internally displaced people currently live.

Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya has long-standing fruitful ties with the NeSTU Association. Almost from the day the network was founded, a number of socially important projects have been implemented in Ukraine. And since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion, partners from Switzerland have financially supported the purchase of premises for the Tyachiv shelter, are involved in providing logistics for humanitarian aid, and participate in organizing thematic camps and activities for vulnerable groups, in particular, together with local NGOs "Happy Children" and "Creative Volunteers".

The cooperation is ongoing, constantly expanding the scope of programs and initiatives.
