Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya continues to implement the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", which is supported by "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
This time, Orikhiv Multidisciplinary Intensive Care Hospital in Zaporizhzhia Oblast received the assistance. Local doctors received a 20-parameter automatic hematology analyzer, which will allow them to perform clinical blood tests efficiently and quickly. The device has an automatic cleaning function, an anti-clotting monitoring system, automatic cleaning of the sampler needle and other technical advantages.
Due to the active hostilities, Orikhiv Hospital was evacuated to Zaporizhzhia, where the staff of the medical facility continues to provide services to patients. In particular, the hospital has a clinical and diagnostic laboratory that performed almost 65,000 tests last year, including about 20,000 hematology tests. Recently, the hospital opened another medical aid point in the village of Komyshuvakha, which is 20 kilometers from the front line. New laboratory equipment for complete clinical blood analysis will be installed there.
As a reminder, during the six months of the program, CAMZ has helped medical institutions in Rakhiv, Uzhhorod and Mukachevo in Zakarpattia, as well as in Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kherson, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
