Another medical aid shipment within the framework of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" was sent to Chernihiv Oblast. This time, the Chernihiv Regional Children’s Hospital became the recipient of assistance from Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya".

The hospital is a critical infrastructure facility that did not stop providing medical care to both injured children and adults during the active hostilities in the city and region. Even in the absence of heating, water supply and electricity, the medical facility continued to treat patients. Currently, almost 300 children are being treated at the facility. To support them and replenish strategic stocks, the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya has provided the Chernihiv Regional Children’s Hospital with charitable aid in the form of medicines that meet the doctors’ needs.

This is not the first humanitarian aid shipment to Chernihiv hospitals as part of a project supported by "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. Last October, the necessary medicines were delivered to the Chernihiv Regional Psychoneurological Hospital. In total, during the six months of the program, we have helped medical institutions in Rakhiv, Uzhhorod and Mukachevo in Zakarpattia, as well as in Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kherson and Donetsk regions.
