We continue to implement the medical component of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support". This time, the necessary equipment was handed over to the Uzhhorod City Maternity Hospital.

The otoacoustic emission recording device is intended for examination of the hearing of children of various ages, including newborns and premature babies. This is an extremely important diagnosis that will allow detecting hearing impairments in children at an early stage and provide proper treatment. Currently, the doctors of the institution use an outdated device that does not fully meet the need for examination of children.

As a reminder, the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. Since the start of the implementation of the medical component of the program, medical institutions in Rakhiv and Uzhhorod in Zakarpattia, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kherson, and Donetsk regions have received appropriate assistance.
