Another batch of medical aid was sent to the Rakhiv District Hospital as part of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support". The humanitarian aid includes vital medicines for obstetric practice, as well as tonometers, pulse oximeters and bactericidal lamps. Rakhiv district is a mountainous region of the Zakarpattia Oblast, where a large part of the population lives in remote villages. The district has also hosted many IDP families from the temporarily occupied and frontline territories. Helping local doctors is always relevant, so we took the opportunity to support them in their work.
As a reminder, the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya is implementing this project with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
