We will show you some of the processes that the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya has been going through for almost three months.

Thus, this is a global repair of the premises that were transferred to the Vilshany Children Orphanage. The renovated buildings will allow to open new departments, including an assisted living facility and a facility for bedridden wards of the orphanage. This is a long-standing and cherished plan for the Committee to improve the living conditions of the children in Vilshany and optimize the range of services offered there. After the full-scale russian invasion, the need for this became even more urgent, as the institution took in children from orphanages from the frontline territories.

We will show you our facility as of June 2023 and now. The builders have already removed all the unnecessary stuff, strengthened the foundations, and now the process of adding everything necessary to make our plan come true as soon as possible begins.

The repair works are part of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" which is being implemented by the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
