Repeated cooperation with the NGO "Happy Children" (Uzhhorod) has resulted in the signing of a relevant substantive agreement. First of all, it concerns the partnership between the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya and this NGO within the framework of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support", which is being implemented with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
The agreement provides for cooperation in the following areas:
- ensuring physical and psychological rehabilitation of women with children affected by the war, helping to stabilize their psycho-emotional state and assisting them in adapting to the new reality;
- organizing cultural and educational leisure activities for children and youth, engaging the audience in learning about the history and culture of Uzhhorod, fostering respect for cultural diversity to ensure peace and stability;
- uniting and engaging young people in active participation in community life, developing competence and empowerment;
- through involvement in active activities, instilling in children love for their native land, stimulating interest in the history and natural features of the region, raising eco-conscious people who are strong in spirit and body;
- providing recreation, health improvement, disclosure of creative potential, establishing communication with peers and adults, social integration, distraction from the war in Ukraine and its consequences for children of primary school age by providing diverse and high-quality leisure services and psychological support during summer vacations, etc.
