Recently, the 98th cargo with humanitarian aid for Ukraine arrived to Uzhhorod, the shipment of which was organized from Paris by friends of the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya, the "SAFE" Association (France).
"Logistics was taken care of by our friends from "SAFE" Association, and financially this aid was made possible by the NGOs "Terre des Hommes" (Germany), "Fondation de France" (France) and "Soft-Tulip" (Netherlands). In addition, "Electricians without Borders" – "Electriciens sans-frontière" (France) – provided radiators and small generators to equip "Points of Invincibility" and support internally displaced persons," – Nataliya Kabatsiy, the director of the Charitable Organization "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" said.
In general, this time the humanitarian cargo included generators of various capacities, convectors, antiseptic and hygiene products, electric blankets, etc. All these things are in great demand in our country, so in the nearest future they will go further – to Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia regions. In particular, the generators will be sent to outpatient clinics in Mykolaiv region, and alternative energy sources will be provided to critical infrastructure facilities – wells and water towers in five starosta districts, where there is a need to organize water supply for local residents and IDPs.
Also, low-power generators and convectors will be transported to Zaporizhzhia, where they will be used in "Points of Invincibility". In Izyum, the energy component of medical institutions will be strengthened.
This time, not only humanitarian aid arrived to Zakarpattia, but also French journalists came on a business trip to tell about the life of our Committee during martial law, how it organizes work, communication, logistics... We are, as before, convinced of the importance of the informational component of the fight against Russian occupiers – it is important to know about Ukraine, hear about our needs and speak out loud about the war and its catastrophic consequences!
Soon, the 99th and the 100th jubilee humanitarian cargoes for the needs of Ukrainians, domestic medical and social institutions, critical infrastructure facilities, etc. will be sent from Paris to Uzhhorod. The number 1 request now is generators, which, by the way, the Committee received from France and promptly distributed more than 180 of them. Of course, neither we nor our foreign partners are able to cover all the needs in alternative energy sources, but we are pleased with the fact that the results of our joint efforts daily bring benefits and simplify the lives of those who hold the defense of the country on all fronts.
So let’s keep working!
