The VIII General members' meeting of the Association "Parasolka" took place on April 23, 2016 in the Swiss city of Reiden. Switzerland is a country with centuries-old traditions of civil society, and the meeting of associations and unions are always conducted under the structure clearly defined and in advance.
Every year the representatives of the Medical Aid Committee in Transcarpathia and/or the Directorate and wards of the Vilshany Orphanage and its youth branch - the Center "Parasolka" are invited to take part and submit reports.
This year the meeting was attended by the representatives of the CO “MACZ” Nataliya Kabatsiy and Lesya Levko submitting the annual progress report.
Our Swiss partners always attempt to tell the Association members the latest news from Ukraine. First of all, people are interested in how daily life looks like, the challenges the ordinary Ukrainians face, the issues the families are forced to deal with, having persons with disabilities, and how families overcome these problems.
This is what was discussed in the report prepared and conducted by Nataliya Kabatsiy and Lesya Levko. The report-discussion had been lasting for more than an hour. And due to the pictures of Valentyn Klepakov the speakers were able to accurately reflect the lives of people with disabilities in Ukraine. The graphs and statistics clearly recreated the situation of nowadays Ukraine.
During the meeting the report on the past year activities was presented and plan for the next year of 2017 was approved. For the Medical Aid Committee in Transcarpathia, the Center "Parasolka" in Tyachiv and Vilshany Orphanage this means that the work continues.
We still have much work ahead!
