Yet, since 2014 the work in the direction of establishment of service rendering to children with autism spectrum disorders has become one of the priority oriented for the Committee. Upon insight to the work system with this category of children in Switzerland, the members of our staff Kateryna Balega and Nadiya Danch participated in the workshop "ASD Diagnostics based on ADOS and ADI-R methods" and gained necessary experience to apply and interpret these methods in accordance with occupational qualification "B".
Last year, the Committee together with other experts worked on the Regional Program "Psychology-pedagogical and medical-social follow-up of children and adults with ASD for 2016-2020". The Program was accepted by the deputies of the Regional Council.
The Committee organized the workshop on the subject "Autism: diagnosis, sensory integration, training" for parents and specialists together with the Public Organization "Schastlyvi Dity" (Happy Children) on February 23. This was practical introductory workshop assisting all concerned to understand the peculiarities of life view and sensory development peculiarities of a child with autism. The workshop took place in cooperation with the Fund "Dytyna z maybutnim" (Child with Future) being conducted by Inna Volodymyrivna Serhienko, the consul of International Association "Autism-Europe", the mother of child with autism.
